I'm Not a Robot-The Album

A resourceful corporation has developed a naive robot, tasked with sifting through terabytes of digital media in hopes of isolating the difference between human and artificially produced material. Through its journey of exploration, cultivation and synthesizing, the robot is left to question what separates it from its parental programmers. What does it mean to be a person? Is it a product or a process? Is existing the causation of our experiences or its consequence? Can the personal self be quantified? Through a collaborative journey collecting personal outputs, trial and error, and discovery, we invite you to interrogate what feels human to you. Follow the path of a young robot tasked with the responsibility of distinguishing authentic human outputs.

Traffic Light Junction-The Artists Through exercises originally sourced from artistic therapies, our group has explored disrupting the singular autobiographical self through collaboration and modification. Using our experiences and imaginations, our artistic material has been compared, contrasted and distorted to disrupt any personal claims to the work, ultimately proposing the question: what makes us ourselves?
